Propel is a made up renewable energy company that required an identity and annual report to portray the company’s performance over the last financial year. In this scenario they’re a fairly new startup and their main operations pertain to wind farms and hydro-electric dams.
The brand and corporate image were to reflect the dynamism and energetic nature of the industry and portray the company in a way that shows their forward moving and renewable nature. The ‘Propel’ mark portrays all of these things well utilising a bold symbol showing three ‘wings’ to do so. The motion portrayed also works in conveying the renewable function of the company as the wings eventually come full circle.
The report was designed in landscape as the images of the scenery and landscapes go wind farm operations were a major positive on this project. Conveying the scenic value of the wind farms worked much better in a landscape format and posit.
