Propela create web and mobile applications that streamline and automate businesses processes. The apps are tailor-made to the needs of each business, helping them save both time and money. We were commissioned by Propela to create their brand from the ground up including Brand Strategy, Brand Naming, Brand Identity Design, Stationery Design, Web Interface Design and Strategic Messaging.
What we’ve created is a brand that is on message and follows clear strategy throughout every touchpoint and piece of communication.
We were tasked with creating the brand for local singer/songwriter Kimberley. Working closely with Kimberley and her management we were able to create a authentic brand centred around the kind of person and artist Kimberley is. Her brand is extremely personal and you can see the same heart she puts into her music and performing shining through her logo.
The Shaanti Project is an initiative by Students of the SIFE UWA program to help those entrapped by Kolkata’s sex trade . The program consists of UWA business students using their skills to create entrepreneurial and educational outreach projects. The Shaanti Project team contracted BradGurney to design a logo for their project that would be bold and empowering.
Hayley Taylor is a local pop-accoustic singer/songwriter. For the launch of her music video BradGurney were contacted to create a brand for Hayley that portrays her personable and warm style. We also created a promotional flier to advertise the event that was seen in a number of lifestyle and musical publications.
IDtek is a Perth based provider of NFC (near field communication) technology and Marketing. Their dynamic team is responsible for implementing new contactless technology and systems in innovative ways as well creating clever marketing campaigns targeted at phone users with NFC enabled devices. The IDtek team approached BradGurney to create their branding, stationery and other brand touch points.
Propel is a made up renewable energy company that required an identity and annual report to portray the company’s performance over the last financial year. In this scenario they’re a fairly new startup and their main operations pertain to wind farms and hydro-electric dams.
The brand and corporate image were to reflect the dynamism and energetic nature of the industry and portray the company in a way that shows their forward moving and renewable nature. The ‘Propel’ mark portrays all of these things well utilising a bold symbol showing three ‘wings’ to do so. The motion portrayed also works in conveying the renewable function of the company as the wings eventually come full circle.
The report was designed in landscape as the images of the scenery and landscapes go wind farm operations were a major positive on this project. Conveying the scenic value of the wind farms worked much better in a landscape format.

Collective Hope commissioned us to design the brand following their name change. The church’s various locations and already well established brand hierarchy are important draw cards. The Design is quite modular allowing for various locations to be added onto the always consistent Collective Hope segment allowing for the brand’s need to grow as locations increase.
The colours and design are youthful and timeless and communicating everything they need to the younger target audience that Collective Hope wishes to attract.
Devoted2 is a non-for-profit using art and design to raise funds and awareness for justice issues. BradGurney waas tasked with creating and managing it’s campaign. This was a real ‘solutions’ project with packaging that turns into an origami wallet and a single business card that functions as two business cards. This project has received tones of great feedback with people loving how well designed, thought out and creative everything is.
